First of all, I would like to express my sincere deepest condolences on victims of recent Air India flight accident.

Hi, I'm “Wicket getter” - a traditional Japanese man with a big fan of cricket games like IPL and I've decided to start this blog in order for exploring “Hidden gems in Japan” together with hidden gems lovers.

I used to live in Singapore from 2022 to 2025 and relocated to Tokyo in Apr 2025 for my new job. At that time, I tried to find Hidden gems in the regions. I’m missing “unique” Singaporean and Malay street  foods like “Penang Char Kway Teow”.

Even for traditional Japanese like me, we tend to visit “typical” and “popular” sightseeing places among visitors.

Yes, it’s better for you to visit popular places or restaurants if you are a “beginner” traveler in Japan but if you were the frequent traveler or if you are living in Japan, in that case you might need “eureka moment” or “nostalgic experiences” in Samurai country here.

 

Japan is a fountain of gems but we aren’t aware of their existence since they are “hidden”. We easily overlook in the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
